We're committed to supporting First Nations students to achieve their full potential, recognising the importance of equity, opportunity, and holistic care.

The First Nations Program provides guidance, mentorship, and community engagement at every level under the leadership of our First Nations Co-ordinator, Mr Kaleb Taylor. The College honours and values the culture, identity, and perspectives that First Nations students and their families bring to our community.

Currently, 36 First Nations students attend the College, supported by their families, the Riverview Bursary Program, and organisations such as Yalari and AIEF. While many students come from regional New South Wales, others join us from as far away as Broome, Darwin, and Cairns.

Through the dedicated support of adult Mentors, Learning Enrichment staff, Cultural Support Tutors, and Volunteer Academic Tutors, the College nurtures the aspirations of First Nations students, guiding them towards further study and future careers.

Our First Nations students enrich the life of Riverview in countless ways. They help deepen our understanding of culture and history, strengthen the bonds within our community, and inspire us all to work together towards a more just and inclusive society.

Young voices, important stories, our future

At Riverview, I'm finding my own voice. As a First Nation's man, my story is a part of something much bigger. It's a story of resilience, culture and connection. Our voices are young, but our stories are important, they shape the future.
