Wellbeing at Riverview

At Riverview, we foster a culture of wellbeing where every staff member feels supported, valued, and able to thrive. Our approach recognises that professional success is closely linked to personal wellbeing, and we encourage a healthy balance through a range of flexible practices, access to wellbeing resources, and a strong sense of community.

Staff are supported through pastoral care initiatives, employee assistance programs, and opportunities to connect, reflect, and recharge. By prioritising wellbeing, we create an environment where our people can bring their best selves to work each day and sustain fulfilling, rewarding careers.

Roles, volunteering and expressions of interest

We regularly recruit for teaching and non-teaching roles. If there are no current vacancies that match your experience, you’re encouraged to submit an expression of interest — particularly if you offer skills in coaching, mentoring, arts, boarding supervision or other areas of student enrichment.

We also welcome volunteers from the wider community. Whether it’s occasional help in the canteen or support for school events, volunteers play a valued role in College life.

Wellbeing Pillars

Physical

We support staff physical wellbeing through access to fitness facilities, preventative health options, ergonomic assessments, and fitness programs.

Emotional

We provide emotional and psychological support through EAP counselling, nutritional advice, wellbeing check-ins, and recognition initiatives such as gratitude cards and wellbeing-themed morning teas.

Spiritual

We offer spiritual reflection and faith-based engagement through weekly Mass, days of reflection, community service, prayer opportunities, access to Ignatian resources, and events like Spirituality Day.

Social

We promote social connection and a sense of community through staff events, networks, competitions, new-staff programs, and community fundraisers, such as the Jesuit Mission Bazaar.

Financial

We provide financial wellbeing support through financial coaching and education, study subsidies, school fee discounts, superannuation and retirement sessions, salary packaging, and discounted meals.
