This year’s Bursary Appeal video shares the journey of Alex Fry (OR2015). For Alex, a boarder from Yass, the opportunity to attend Riverview was transformative. Arriving from a small country community, Alex quickly discovered a place where he was challenged, supported, and encouraged to grow. His teachers and coaches instilled in him the confidence to pursue opportunities he had never previously imagined. “Riverview helped me believe I could achieve things I didn’t think were possible,” he reflects.
Each bursary is an investment not only in a student, but in a future leader, mentor, and contributor to society. With your support, Riverview can continue to provide access to a Jesuit education for students of promise, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview has, since 2004, extended the transformative gift of a Jesuit education to over 500 young men from families for whom such an opportunity would otherwise be out of reach. The College has welcomed bursary students for 146 years. Our cherished Bursary Program - entirely funded through the generosity of our benefactors - represents a partnership between our benefactors, the College, and the bursary students and their families. It built on a foundation of generosity and heartfelt gratitude.
