We provide a wide range of resources, opportunities and personalised guidance to help students make informed choices about their school pathways and post-school options.
Central to the program is the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes that support informed decision-making. Students are encouraged to explore future possibilities, understand their strengths and aspirations, and plan concrete steps toward their goals.

Accessible anywhere, the Careers Canvas page helps students and families navigate the transition beyond the Riverview gates with clarity and confidence.
The Careers Advisor liaises with students, parents, tertiary institutions, industry partners and employers to ensure that all advice and information is current and relevant. Opportunities to participate in community-based networks, work-placements and career-focused activities enrich the student experience and deepen their understanding of the world of work.
This major annual event is held in May and brings together over 90 exhibitors, including universities, private colleges, apprenticeship partners and gap organisations. The Expo provides an opportunity for students to interact with providers and explore potential career pathways.
In Year 10, every student is offered the opportunity to complete the Career Avenues Career Profile. This process provides a solid base for self exploration. Starting with a comprehensive online profiling session, it includes a detailed Careers profile report, a 25-minute interview with a professional careers counsellor, and access to a web-based portal that allows students to connect to resources and build a Career Action Plan.
