Wingaru Smoking Ceremony and Blessing of the Building Site

The event commenced with a beautiful and poignant smoking ceremony to prepare the Country for the upcoming works and to protect those who will work and be educated on the land.  Fr Tom Renshaw, SJ also blessed the building site to mark this significant step in the College’s evolution. In blessing the site, Fr Tom highlighted the importance of this project in the College’s mission to form men for and with others.

The event concluded with the traditional turning of the sod ceremony, which officially kickstarted the construction works.
