Dear Member of the College Community,
The 140th Annual Gold Cup Regatta will be held at Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview on Saturday, 17th February, and you are warmly welcome to come and enjoy the day.
The College grounds will be open to visitors, and the event will commence at 8.00 am and conclude at 3.30 pm. The full programme will be available via InsideView starting this Friday and via the QR code posters displayed around the foreshore.
We are expecting up to 5,000 attendees to the Gold Cup, including approximately 1,300 competitors and more than 200 crews. Given the number of anticipated visitors, we encourage families to leave pets at home where possible.
Students are welcome to attend the Gold Cup, but attendance is optional due to the requirement to fulfil individual Co-Curricular commitments.
Food, beverage and stall offerings will be available from 8 am:
STALL | LOCATION | OFFERING |
---|---|---|
OIU BBQ | Ferry Wharf | Bacon & egg rolls and sausage sandwiches |
P&F Cake Stall | Ferry Wharf | A selection of cakes, biscuits and beverages |
P&F Gelato Stall & Merchandise Stand | Loyola Drive & Boatshed Row intersection | Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview Licona merchandise |
Cana Farm Stall | Cova Cottage Hill | Cana Farm produce & hampers |
Transport and Parking
We encourage families to allow plenty of time to travel to and from the College. On-campus parking will be limited to the availability on The Slopes and Gorman Oval (pending good weather). 2nd Field will be reserved for boat trailers and school buses of competing schools.
