Philosophy

All efforts are made by the College to provide for the boys a safe and clean playground environment conducive to recreation and relaxation at appropriate times. The College is aware of the need for boys to participate in healthy activity throughout the day. It provides for and encourages the playing of games such as basketball, handball and cricket but does not allow for games which are or have the potential to be physical or dangerous in nature. Invariably these degenerate into rough encounters in which safety is often compromised. Hence it is the duty and responsibility of each member of staff to ensure that the playground is at all times safe and that students are regularly asked to dispose of all litter thoughtfully.

Games

Boys in Years 8 - 11 are only permitted in the areas designated for their Forms. Boys are not to be in the buildings or at their lockers during recess or lunch. Only during wet weather are the boys to congregate in the buildings. Tennis balls may be used for games but cricket balls or any kind of hard ball are not to be used during the normal school day.
