Rector of the College, Fr Ross Jones SJ, was appointed as Rector of Riverview in 2011, after having served as Rector of St Aloysius' College from 2003–2010. Fr Jones has been particularly involved in the Jesuit schools network throughout the East Asia and Pacific regions: he has been the Provincial Assistant for Schools; Australian Secretary to the Jesuit Education Conference of East Asia-Oceania; he completed the final phase of his Jesuit formation (Tertianship) in the Philippines in 2003–4; and he has developed Philippines Immersion Programs for students, Old Boys and paretns, firstly at St Aloysius', and now at Riverview. The current Principal of Riverview is Dr Paul Hine, who was appointed Principal in April 2013 after the departure of Mr Shane Hogan, whom had served as Riverview's first lay Headmaster for more than ten years. Dr Hine joined Riverview from Sacred Heart College Senior in Somerton Park, SA, where he was Principal. Paul's strong commitment to social justice has been demonstrated in his efforts to increase education, especially to those from disadvantaged populations. Through past experience Paul has developed strategic links with local and regional communities, and initiatives to support Indigenous and refugee students. |
