From 2012 the School Certificate was replaced by the Record of School Achievement (RoSA). The RoSA will be awarded to students who leave the schooling system before completion of the HSC. The RoSA will contain grades for coures completed up to the time of the student leaving school, as well as a list of courses the student is enrolled in but has not yet completed.

 The student may also attempt optional tests in Literacy and Numercay, and the results of these will also be recorded on the RoSA.
