About Us

The work undertaken in Staff Services has as its goal the successful incorporation of Human Resources Management into the cultural life of the College. To be successful in this goal, Staff Services has to provide a benefit to the College and its staff through the promotion of positive employment relations, effective policy development, constructive advice and high quality administrative services, within the constraints of relevant legislation and industrial awards. The office of Staff Services strives at all times to be efficient, professional, communicative, hard-working and accountable.

Role

Adding Value to the staff's experience of working at Riverview.

Working at Riverview has always been a unique experience for staff due to the added dimension of spiritual formation, participation in co-curricular activities, and pastoral care, all activities that are not a part of most people's daily working lives. The College aims to add further value to the employment experience through a comprehensive staff support program. The aim of our support programs is to assist and support staff in a variety of ways so that they are able to pursue their specific role at the College and develop their career at the school.

Relevant to the Mission of the College.

It is important for Staff Services not to define itself too narrowly as simply an administrative arm of the executive. The way in which this next step will help our process of linking HRM into the cultural fabric of the College, is to make Human Resources Management relevant to the every day tasks and responsibilities with which staff have to deal. It is by being involved in the process of learning and development, the review process, and leadership training, that we will endeavour to achieve our goal.
