Past Parents’ Association President’s Report

Monday 22nd February saw a wonderful gathering of Past Parents attending our first function of the year – the annual mass and light luncheon. My thanks to Mark White and his facilities team, as well as Magnus Jonsson from Catering industries for preparing the venues.

Thank you to Fr Andy Bullen who celebrated Mass, the parents who participated and Christine Moriarty who played the organ for the 50–or–so parents present.

Following the mass, we then moved to the parlour for a light luncheon prepared by the working committee.

Our next function is the Annual Bursary Card Day, to be held on Wednesday 14th April in the Memorial Hall, starting at 10.30am (click here to see attached flyer). Last year we had over 30 tables of enthusiastic bridge players in attendance. Bookings for the day are currently being taken. For those who wish to attend but are unable to due to “family commitments” ie looking after grandchildren, Shane Hogan, College Principal, has generously offered to make available the childminding facilities at the school crèche. Please contact me for further details – 0417 215716 or 4268 2134 .

Our membership database is still being collated. As such some who have opted to receive correspondence via email may still receive a printed copy as well as an electronic version.

Thank you for continuing to support your association. In today’s busy world it is refreshing to see friends with like interests take the time to gather together and enjoy one another’s company.
